Amanda is a qualified teacher (PGCE) and has a BA (Hons) in Film Arts. In addition she also has qualifications in Sound Engineering and Music & Technology. Amanda is also an advisor for Arts Award, which enables young people who participate in an Energetic Film project to gain a nationally recognised Bronze or Silver Arts Award qualification. Amanda has practiced in a variety of professional contexts from stage performance, live music promotion, radio broadcast, community filmmaking and commissioned film pieces. Amanda’s work ranges from experimental film, drama, documentary and sound art. Her work has been exhibited across the UK and at local and international film festivals. Amanda currently works at Cornwall College, coordinating an in-house arts and media company and continues to write and direct her own short films. Amanda’s passion for community film projects has resulted in receiving several acclaimed film awards and has raised the profile of film making within young peoples organisations, community groups and at after school clubs.
Simon is first and foremost a photographer, he now mainly shoots portraits. He has an Hnc in commercial photography, A BA (hons) degree in fine art photography from Falmouth and a teaching degree (pgce). Although Simon mainly teaches now he has photographed artists to celebrities including Jimmy Carr. Simos work has been exhibited in galleries and sold in shops. Simon is getting more and more involved in community projects, as he really enjoys putting his energy into inspiring young people.
