Art's Award: Be the audience

The fourth day of the course it was decided that the group was having a field trip around Plymouth Seafront to check out the site specific interactive media installation Plymouth Shortcuts (the installations were supposed to be using videos sourced from swfta and afterwards ,in the afternoon, the Plymouth City Museum and art Gallery.
The day started with the group walking around West Hoe, cameras in tow, attempting to find the Plymouth Shortcuts. Unfortunately we were unable to locate any of the AR codes but that did not stop us from exploring Plymouth's amazing picturesque locations which attract tourists from all over the UK and the world. Even though things did not go to plan we still managed to enjoy the view, take multiple pictures of the sites and the locals. It was also a great opportunity to spend time with each other and get to know people we wouldn't have met hadn't we taken part in the course. The whole team was pleased to have discovered a hidden treasure: The Gallery On The Hoe (-Kenny Grogan). Several team members enjoyed taking pictures and admiring local artists' work. After an eventful morning we took a short lunch break around the Barbican area with our cameras to explore the area.
After lunch we dragged our aching feet to the museum to wander about the exhibitions for a while before heading back to Foyer to give some interviews and reflect on our experiences.
